We are one of the only ballet schools in Hobart where you're guaranteed to be taught by a fully qualified teacher.
The Prima Ballet Academy is a non-competitive ballet school in Hobart for children and adults of all ages and abilities. We provide students with an encouraging and nurturing learning environment with all the benefits of training with one of Hobart's few qualified ballet teachers!
Having a qualified ballet teacher ensures your child will be taught classical ballet techniques to the world recognised and respected Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) standards of quality, safety, and professionalism.
At the Prima Ballet Academy we specialise in classical ballet only, so you can rest assured you won't feel pressured to learn multiple dance styles. We focus on technique, encouragement and fun, rather than being competitive.
Our studio is warm and welcoming. We have a comfortable and relaxed waiting area for students and their parents, and a bright sun-filled studio with full length windows, mirrors, and sprung floors for our dancers to enjoy.
We don't enter competitions but we do offer the option for students to do official Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) ballet exams along the way which many find a fun challenge!
